Family Support Worker

 

We are looking to appoint a part time Family Support Worker who can support children and families who may need a little extra support or who are experiencing difficulties. This is a great opportunity in an interesting and varied role with much to offer; it involves working on varied projects and tasks that require focus and considerable initiative. The successful candidate will be a confident communicator with exceptionally strong interpersonal skills. This is very much a hands-on role which provides both challenge and support and requires the ability to be adaptable, solutions-focused and independent. Tasks will vary depending on the needs of each child and their family. The post holder will carry out Early Help Assessments, attend and lead TAC, ESCO  and CIN meetings, work with children in school, work in close partnership with their parents and liaise between agencies on the child/families behalf.

This post is a part time (13 hours a week), permanent G6 post . Hours can be arranged flexibly over the week but will be across at least three days of the week. Additional hours may be available to provide additional one to one and small group support for children.

The candidate should have:

  • Experience of working directly with children/young people
  • Proven track record of working with other professionals and outside agencies
  • Experience of Early Help Assessments, TAC and CP procedures
  • Sound knowledge of Child Safeguarding
  • Proven record-keeping experience and a strong ability to work independently, using your own initiative

2 x TA 1 to 1 Posts 

Saxilby CE Primary School is seeking to appoint two inspirational and enthusiastic 1 to 1 Teaching Assistants to join our team. These roles will be attached to the direct support of a specific child with additional needs.

 

Post 1:  Full time 1 to 1 (Enhanced Support) Teaching Assistant Post – Starting September 2019

This role is to support a child in Reception with medical needs and to provide social interaction support

Post 2: Part Time 1 to 1 (Enhanced Support) Teaching Assistant Post (20hrs a week)- Starting September 2019

This role is to work alongside a child in Year 6 to provide social interaction support. Initial flexibility may be required to establish a working pattern that meets the needs of the child.

Pupil Premium Lead Teaching Assistant

Teaching Assistant Level 2 (Grade G5)   

Full Time 32.5hrs a week / Term Time Only / Temporary post for one year Sept 2019-Aug 2020

 

The Senior Leadership Team and Governing Body seek to appoint a full time teaching assistant to lead and coordinate the provision for children accessing Pupil Premium across the school.

 

All of our Level 2 Teaching Assistants are an integral part of our teaching team, providing support for small groups of children, assisting within lessons and providing cover when required. This role may include these elements but will be largely focused on coordinating the provision for those children who access Pupil Premium funding to ensure the highest levels of academic progress and personal growth and development.

 

We are looking for an outstanding, experienced practitioner who is friendly and adaptable with a sound understanding of learning across the EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 with a willingness to be flexible as to where they will be deployed. Experience of working in all Key Stages is highly desirable.

 

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A sound understanding of how children learn and develop;
  • Experience of teaching phonics and implementing intervention programmes across the key stages
  • Experience of working in a similar role;
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team;
  • Flexibility and adaptability;
  • A willingness to learn and develop existing skills;
