The Y5/6 children have settled really well back into School Life. Their attitude to learning has been fantastic. We look forward to the year ahead.

We were pleased to give out our first Shine certificates of the year and it was lovely to see Parents and Grandparents attending our special assembly.

We welcome Mrs Justice into the Y5/6 Team. Mrs Justice will be working alongside all Y5/6 teachers and will be teaching in classes.

The children are enjoying our class novel, ‘There’s a boy in the Girls Bathroom’ by Louis Sacher. Our Topic this term is called Frozen Kingdom. We will be learning about the Poles and what life is like in Antarctica. The children will learn about the different explorers that reached the poles and what their expeditions were like.

Home Learning will be given out on a Friday. This week the children had to create an information poster about the different types of Nouns this is linked to our Grammar teaching in class. The children have been set a task on Mathletics to complete too. If you have any difficulty accessing Mathletics, please let us know and we will see if we can help.

Home Learning is due in on Wednesday.

Look out for the Secondary Schools Open Evenings in the coming weeks. Details will be on the Y5/6 Noticeboard near the cloakrooms.

Please encourage your child to bring their water bottle daily.

Please pop and see us if you have any questions or worries.
