We had a fantastic trip to the Galleries of Justice on the 15th October.
The children will be took part in three workshops which link to our topic Crime and Punishment.
These workshops included:
Object handling:
This involved looking at variety of objects through the ages used in crime and punishment.
The court room:
This involved the children acting out two cases from Victorian times. It was then up the children (the jury) to decide whether they were guilty or not guilty.
The Tour:
The children were taken on a fantastic tour which included meeting some great characters along the way. It was a look at crime and punishment through the ages, this included the children learning what it was like to be in prison a long time ago and also the kind of punishments there were.
