Key stage 1 children ended the term celebrating the Hindu festival of Diwali. Children had a wonderful day learning about the culture and traditions of Diwali. Children experienced trying traditional Indian foods, created beautiful rangoli patterns, drew henna hand patterns, made diva lamps from clay and puppets of characters from the story of Rama and Sita.

Class France were particularly lucky, as Shiv Asodia volunteered to teach the children all about the story of Rama and Sita dressed in traditional clothing. What a fantastic experience to share with the friends in your class!
