We would like to welcome you back to school and to a very exciting term. The children have all come back to school refreshed and ready to learn.

This week we all loved hearing about Mrs Wilkinson’s trip to China. The children were fascinated to hear about the school that she visited and how different it was from Saxilby School.

On Tuesday it was Key Stage Ones wow day to launch our new topic ‘ As the ship went down’ . The children were given a ticket to board the Titanic and this ticket decided whether they travelled first, second, third class or if they were staff. It also decided whether they were allowed to board a lifeboat once the ship had hit the iceberg. It was great fun and the children couldn’t stop talking about their experience. Please take a look at the photos on class blogs.

As of this week PE days are changing and the children will have whole Key Stage PE every Friday afternoon. This will be both indoor and outdoor. This will ensure that in bad weather all children will still be able to access PE in the hall. This will enable the children to work with
different groups and with children of the same ability. This term we are very excited to be able to give the children the opportunity to experience
wheelchair sport.
