Midday Supervisory Assistant

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic individual to join our Midday team. The role will involve setting up/clearing away the dining hall, supervising children eating their lunch and supervising children outside.

We are looking for a team member who is enthusiastic, caring, can work on their own initiative and has great communication skills. The successful individual will have a strong commitment to the safety and wellbeing of children and will receive full safeguarding training.

The role will be 7.5 hours a week (Monday-Friday 12pm-1.30pm) term time only.

A slight variation to hours/days may be considered for the right candidate.

Higher Level Teaching Assistant – Required for Summer term 2

HLTA (Grade G6 pt 15-18)    

Part Time 19.5hrs a week / 39 weeks / Temporary until 31.08.2025  

Full time equivalent £27,803-£30,296 (52 weeks) 

19.5 hours per week / 39 week approx. £14,307-£15,590 (gross)

The Senior Leadership Team and Governing Body seek to appoint a part-time, higher-level teaching assistant to complement the professional work of Teachers and Headteacher by leading and delivering learning objectives to children across the school. 

Our Teaching Assistants team is an integral part of our teaching team, providing support for small groups of children, assisting within lessons, and providing supported cover when required. This role extends professional opportunities for the right candidate through increasing responsibility and ownership in the preparation and delivery of provision through planned, and possibly unplanned cover across all year groups, ensuring consistency of relationships for the children. 

We are looking for an inspirational, experienced practitioner who is friendly and adaptable with a sound understanding of learning across more than one key stage with a willingness to be flexible as to where they will be deployed. Experience of working in more than one Key Stage is highly desirable.

We are looking for someone who has: 

• A sound understanding of how children learn and develop; 

• Experience of working in a similar role; 

• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team; 

• Flexibility, reliability and adaptability;  

• A willingness to learn and develop existing skills;
