Last Thursday we had a Fairy Tale WOW day I the explorer unit. The children were so excited to dress up as their favourite fairy tale character. During the day they had several challenges to complete. A princess was trapped in the castle and the children had to find a way to rescue her. Some made bridges and some made ladders.  Other children made shields and bows and arrows to protect themselves for the ‘baddies’ in their stories.  Another challenge was to paint of picture of where their character lived.  The children were enthused and excited all day which was delightful to see.
